Since our inception as a charity in 1873, HSF Health Plan has been more than a health cash plan provider; we’ve been a cornerstone of community support and well-being. Our ethos of enabling accessible healthcare was just the beginning. Over the years, our mission has evolved, intertwining our legacy with a profound commitment to social impact and ethical business practices.

In 2008, a pivotal transformation took place. The Hospital Saturday Fund transitioned back to a registered charity, with HSF Health Plan proudly becoming its trading arm. This deliberate shift meant all profits were funnelled directly into the charity, amplifying our ability to touch lives. Fast forward to 2024, following the joyous celebration of our monumental 150th anniversary in 2023, our contributions have soared to €2.5 million in grants to charities and individuals across the UK, Ireland, and Malta. This remarkable journey has seen us distribute over €15 million, impacting 5,500 charities and countless individuals since 2008.

Our approach has redefined the sponsorship of medical initiatives, funding ground-breaking research and innovative medical solutions, such as infection-detecting plasters. These efforts underpin our commitment to not just healthcare, but a healthier tomorrow for all.

Our partnership model is a testament to the ripple effect of ethical choices. Nearly 200,000 individuals within HSF Health Plan contribute to this growing mission, reinforcing the intrinsic value of our health plans not only for employee well-being but as a catalyst for community welfare.
